Mission

Blockchain Lab at CTU exists to turn interested students into capable blockchain builders. The lab is designed as a practical engineering environment where students learn the fundamentals, build working prototypes, and gradually take ownership of real project work.

The lab is intentionally builder-first. Research can support deeper understanding, but the main value is in code, demos, documentation, mentoring, and useful systems.

Activities

The lab combines several modes of work:

Educational efforts

The course and meetup model covers both theory and practice. Students learn how blockchains work, how Ethereum and smart contracts behave, how DeFi applications are built, and why risk analysis matters. Practical sessions move from Solidity basics to full-stack blockchain tooling, tokens, staking, games, decentralized exchanges, lending, stablecoins, prediction markets, and final group projects.

Student projects

Student work is expected to produce concrete artifacts: repositories, demos, technical writeups, thesis projects, or grant-ready prototypes. Examples in the current lab orbit include ERC-6909 EU Bond Platform for SMEs smart contract work and Cushion, a Solana-oriented prototype for DeFi loan liquidation protection.

Long-term direction

The lab is evolving toward a repeatable student pipeline and delivery studio: students enter through courses or self-onboarding, grow through scoped contributions, and eventually mentor others or lead technical tracks.
